Smart Building Controls
SMART BUILDING CONTROLS
Smart building controls set lighting and thermostat schedules that follow real occupancy and opening hours, with remote visibility, agreed limits and a record of every override, across one building or many.
IoT monitoring is an add-on, priced separately from Managed IT, and also available on its own. Alerts are monitored 24x7 and go to a named person.
Smart Building Controls uses connected sensors, gateways and alerts to watch physical conditions for business and facility teams. The work includes selecting a useful condition, planning connectivity and routing alerts to a named responder. IoT monitoring is an add-on, scoped and priced separately from Managed IT, and hardware, software and licenses are sold separately.
Every light stays on all weekend in a building nobody visits. One location runs the heat at 76, another at 64, and the only record is whoever last touched the thermostat.
A TYPICAL WORKDAYONE SCHEDULE, FOLLOWED IN EVERY BUILDING.
- 01
Occupancy or schedule changes
- 02
approved lighting or HVAC action
- 03
overrides recorded.
- Lighting status, schedules and occupancy-based actions
- Remote HVAC settings, schedules and limits
- Manual overrides that staff can still use, with a record
- Comfort, equipment and energy context across sites
LESS MANUAL ADJUSTMENT. BETTER VISIBILITY ACROSS BUILDINGS.
Schedules are updated when hours, seasons or tenants change, and overrides are reviewed so exceptions don't become the new default. How we keep sensors useful
Application and safety requirements vary. Monitoring supplements your operating procedures and does not replace required life-safety systems.
Smart Building Controls FAQ
What do smart building controls coordinate?
Lighting and thermostat schedules can be aligned with occupancy, operating hours and defined facility requirements.
Why keep control rules and monitoring responsibilities documented?
Teams need to know which conditions drive an action, who can change the rules and who investigates unexpected behavior.
Is building-control work included in the Managed IT fee?
No. Smart building and IoT work is separately scoped and priced, and hardware, software and licenses are sold separately.
